Why we take calls only
A plumbing problem is hard to describe in a text box. On the phone, the dispatcher can ask where the water is, whether the main valve is closed and whether a drain is backing up, then tell you what to do next. That conversation is the first repair step.
So every request for service goes through one number, (801) 207-7520. Call at 3 a.m. or on a holiday and the same line answers.
Dispatch address and email
Our dispatch address is 1436 S Legend Hills Dr, Clearfield, UT 84015, on the southeast edge of the city. Plumbers are sent to you rather than the other way around, so please call before you drive here.
For a question that is not urgent, such as a billing detail, you can write to contact@expressplumberclearfield.com. For anything live, such as water, a backup or a heater out, call instead, because email is not the fastest way to a plumber.
Have these ready when you call
The dispatcher will ask for a handful of details. Having them ready shortens the call.
- Your street address, town and nearest cross street
- Whether the property is a house, apartment or business
- Where water or sewage is showing up, and whether it is still running
- Whether you found the main shutoff and closed it
- Any age clues, such as the water heater install date
- A callback number in case the call drops
If you do not know an answer, say so. The plumber can find most of it on site.
What happens after you call
Four steps follow, in this order.
1The dispatcher confirms the details
You repeat the address and the problem so nothing is mixed up, especially in Clinton and Sunset, which share ZIP 84015 with Clearfield.
2You get first steps to take
That may be closing the main valve, stopping water use or keeping people away from a wet outlet. These steps limit damage while you wait.
3A licensed plumber is assigned
No arrival time is promised, because that would be a guess. The dispatcher tells you what to expect.
4The price is clear before work
The plumber finds the cause, explains the options and gives the price. Work begins after you agree.
Contact questions
Can I request service through a form or text message?
No. Service requests go through the phone line only, because a dispatcher needs to ask follow-up questions and give you first steps right away. Call (801) 207-7520 at any hour.
Is the line really open at night and on holidays?
Yes. The dispatch line runs 24/7, every day of the year. A burst pipe or sewer backup does not wait for business hours, and neither does the phone.
What if I smell gas?
Leave the building right away and call 911 or the gas utility from outside. Do not use a phone, switch or appliance inside. Call us only after the gas problem is cleared.
